agreed, pretty hard to watch. I was sitting at a bar and I swear I couldn't stop scratching myself. |

| i don't even know how he was pitching in that. you can't really blame him for what happened, that's a difficult situation to pitch in. That tells you how ty cleveland is; Probably the most disgusting city i've ever been in. |

dang, Manny walk-off shot onto Lansdowne St, off K-Rod
Has it landed yet? :p |
I'm surprised that the Angels have consistently tried to come inside on Manny and, when they've pitched to him, Ortiz. It doesn't make sense.
You can set up the outside part of the plate by going inside but you have to force them to beat you to the opposite field because if you miss inside they're going make you pay.
Does A-Rod have a hit yet? |

| So much for either of the sentimental favorites that most people wanted to see represent the NL in the World Series |

No, but neither do posada and matsui, and jeter and cano each have one hit only. also, the yankees faced sabathia and carmona, easily two of the best pitchers in the majors. i'm not making excuses, but the AROD isn't God. |

I was just giving you a hard time. When no one is hitting you can't blame A-Rod. I think people put too much on his shoulders, I like what Jeter said, "we need to play well." |

| Steinbrenner told a paper that Torre's job is tied to this series? One, nonsense like this doesn't help a team play better and, second, this year Torre has done a fantastic job. Firing him at the end of this year would be a childish decision. He's not pulling a Grady Little for God's sake. |

i know...but i hate when yankees fans put so much emphasis on playoff performance. how do you discount 162 games for the performance of a player in 3 games, i think that is ridiculous. also, they need to realize that without AROD we wouldn't be in the playoffs. i think that is far more important than what happens in 3 to 5 games. also, matsui hasn't been a godsend as far as playoff performance goes. to add to that, noone gives rivera a hard time for blowing two games in the boston series the year boston went on to win the world series. (as far as i'm concerned, rivera has been for almost 3 years now). i think that is worse than AROD not performing.
what some players did in the past, that's a stupid basis to hold players accountable for present performance. to say you can forgive jeter for not performing in a current series because he did well in 99 is pure insanity. (im not blaming anyone for not performing in this series thus far because the yankees faced two amazing pitchers). i'm convinced 80% of yankees fans are just plain stupid. |

well that all depends now....do you think arod not performing in 3 games is the make or break determination on whether he is worth to play in NY? ;)

Well I can't really answer that fairly :)
I've never been a fan of A-Rod as a person. As an athlete you can not deny the talent he has and used throughout the season but of you can't make use of that talent in the post-season then isn't it just wasted talent :)
look in the bleachers for Jay's fro :p |
