great event so far, glad it is working out weather wise. this morning when it was raining here i thought about how much it would suck if it rained in buffalo today...either way great event and i hope the penguins win...sid's on my fantasy team and so is armstrong i think ;)

as for tickets, tickets to the public soldout in minutes when they were released. crazy expensive too. you have a better view at home for sure.

if not the winter classic then something like it...i have heard talk about the rangers doing an outdoor game but that was months ago in the sports business daily.

the winter classic was awesome! the weather sucked for them but its hockey and so a little snow is mandatory!

seemed like the tv commentators all hated it and thought it was dumb and that itll be hard to get teams because not many will want to give up one point or two to bad weather. I say them, that was amazing and they should def do it again. Also playing games abroad was cool, and glad that is going to happen again.

in the grand scheme of things they play 82 games in the regular season one game will not make or break their playoff chances this early in the season plus there is money to be made and it is great exposure for the league and the participating teams.

The game was great, especially for such a special game, which was nationally televised as well.
Sick shot between Miller's legs by Crosby to win the game.

oh i totally agree games like these help the nhl and it wont hurt a team at all, but the announcers throughout the entire game hated the idea and it sucked hearing them talk about it.
