According to what i read Pittsburgh has no fan support even when Mario played. They say the arena isnt ment for the sport anymore and what not as well as financial issues etc. Whole issue with moving the team...
Just what i read in the news.
Agree with detroit, the economy sucks and detroit is american car manufacturing... def a down right now haha.
I know Bettman (hate his ass) wants LA or a NY team to take it - hoping it will bring in new fans in the major cities. |

seriously hollweg gets his first and second goals of the season and it went downward very quickly. of course i was at msg for the damn loss, should have just stayed home they played so badly. half the arena emptied out part way through the third...five in a row now i think. |

ny rangers @ montreal canadiens right now on nbc :D
Haven't been to game in a while...hmm despite Rangers verse Devils talk we are pretty lucky to choose from two Clubs so close to another. Since I'm a die hard Avs fan I don't discriminate which arena I go to it depends on which game will be better. With that said Ducks and Sharks in town this month, gotta go see them against one of the two teams. |

when the rangers go 6 or 7 years undefeated against the devils i'll be impressed, or maybe win the season series 10 straight years like the devils had done both in recent history. i wrote a post on the espn boards about how the monkey the devils have on their backs this year with the rangers is just like what the rangers went through in recent history. what makes is frustrating is that with the exception of the 4-2 loss back in Nov at prudentaial center, all of the other 4 games have been close fought ranger wins (an ot and shot out win as 2 examples of this).
i have to give the rangers credit, they looked dead after the carolina game a while back and have turned it around for now. the atlantic division as a whole is the closest in the entire league. there's no way to predict what is going to happen by seasons end. any combination of streaks of any team will play a big part. not so sure how the trade deadline is going to affect things either. too many teams that are too close to the playoffs this year. so not many teams are going to be sellers on the trade market. |
