if not the winter classic then something like it...i have heard talk about the rangers doing an outdoor game but that was months ago in the sports business daily. |
Yankee Stadium was discussed as a possible venue for that, but probably won't happen |

| You could see the players loved it. Most of those guys are so young and the few that are old can always relate to playing hockey outdoors. Specially if your from Canada lol... Those guys looked like they were having a ball out there. THis was a great game, great idea and def needs to keep happening. Huge step for the NHL in America. 70+ thousand on hand there it was so cool to see that. Lets go Devils!! |

And the ratings are in. Highest ratings for an NHL game in over a decade.
Time to place bets on where the next outdoor game will be |

Big Joe (thornton) and the Sharks FTW! They suck this year but still need to support. I mean they are ok point wise but play like . No flow at all. California needs the cup again - excluding the damn cheating ducks lol.
But if not the sharks id want a team thats stuggling with fans like pittsburgh, st louis, LA, Columbus, etc. The NHL is in a crisis now. So many teams dont have support at home. Its a shame. I mean some like LA where its a big city cant get people. And Detroit - a team who owns like no other every year has struggling days.
Playwise however i love watching Buffalo - so woudnt mind if they took it simply for being a team team that can play like a team should - and over the last 2-3 years built a fan base that was almost non existent in the past. |

Wait you think Pittsburgh is STRUGGLING for fans? Come on now are you joking that makes no type of sense. As for LA everyone knows it is a fair weather market hence the reason they couldn't support a NFL team let alone a hockey team. Columbus is the only city in the NHL that has never ever made the playoffs so that might have something to do with some of their issues. As for Detroit look at the economy, people have lost their jobs do you REALLY think they are going to take the little they have to buy season tickets to anything?
As for SJ, not gonna win the cup...I was very impressed by Ottawa last season and would love to see them win if my Avs can't win. Damn maybe even Detroit will win, they are playing well this season. As for Buffalo they got screwed during free agency. Watched them play NJ on Friday at the Prudential and the time before that was during the playoffs at MSG and it isn't the same team. |

| Trying to get tickets to see Sid @ the Prudential Center on the 29th or 4th...I've gone at see him play each year that he's been in the League at least once. I'm going there wearing Penguins stuff and I don't care if I get booed at. I <3 the Penguins. |
