| I love balance 005 with a passion so its hard for me to say that I like the current Holden better, witch is true but at the same time I kind of miss his older stuff either way. Holden is a living legend IMO. |

| Saw Holden a few months back. :crazy: :crazy: Nice blend of minimal, techno, neo-trance, electro and house records. One of the best dj's at this moment if you ask me. |

I belive neo-trance was and still is very promising. The problem is that it didn't get the big breakthrough many were expecting. Beyond Connaisseur, Border Community, Kompakt and the likes, not many labels really gave it a chance.
So, basically, there are still new ideas but the genre lacks direction and unity. I would not say it is already dead, but it sure is not well. |

| Minimal trance has actually been around a long time, albeit underground. So it's not exactly "neo". Then is the newer stuff "neominimal"? |

I think genres that are in a primordial state (lacking direction and unity) may be more fun to discover and explore than well codified bodies of music. |
