Funny enough, that is the most packed room all throughout the entire night.

Yeah, not everyone's concept of "partying" involves dancing all night long.

Good music should work anywhere.

I think that's absolute bull, to be honest.

I have tryed to heard (or like) minimal many times, but each time I was bored. I don't understand why it is so popular right now. I heard electronic music since more than 10 years now, and minimal is the style that bore me the most. In my opinion the word minimal is the good name for this style of music. I would like to know how many minutes a producer of minimal take to make a title. 10 minutes ?

Are people here talking about minimal, or 'minimal'?

Hehe, me too sometimes. Especially when I see some producers releasing like 1 EP per month...

However, 'minimal' is not the only type of music that suffers from this. The same could be said about every genre that has ever reached a certain amount of popularity. There are always people who want to make a quick buck out of current hot trend with simply following the already used presets and formulas.

Minimal may sound simple but that doesn't mean it actually is simple or easier to produce than any other music.

Seriously, stop trying so hard.

Do I even need to point out the irony here?

I just always find the "I didn't use to like genre xx but then I heard it in a club..." comments a bit weird.

It's usually cause it's the first time they have given genre x a listen for more than 2 minutes, and they have frequently been ed out of their faces whilst doing so.

In that case, I'll ignore it until the buzzword for this sound moves onto the next one: deep house.
