what are your thoughts on the experimental police cameras in the entertainment district?
im all for it. if you are in a public place then dont expect to have any privacy. media (or anyone with a camera) is allowed to take photos/video of any individual provided that they are on public property so why shouldnt the police be allowed to have video footage to catch criminal activity? if its gonna help the area to be safer then its got my full support. |

I agree. The only concern I have is if the notion gets taken any further and forces cameras in private places/on private property. (eg. the cameras should not be positioned to monitor private businesses/residences) |

private property should have its own security (which could also be used for prosecuting criminals). walk in to a convenience store and rob the clerk.. they will use that tape in court. |

why? do you have something to hide?
id much rather have cops recording me doing innocent things if it will help catch a thug that stabs/shoots someone. |

that's a good point i understand that completely...i just wouldn't like the idea of feeling like "i'm being watched" everywhere, constantly...that's just too much |

| After just coming back from London and seeing "CCTV in use" everywhere and seeing how they take security at their airports and cabs etc. compared to other places...I have no problem with it. |

| im all for it. london, on has cameras watching the streets although it still doesnt stop people from fighting and such |
|

| it may not stop fights but it will help in prosecution. having a tape of shootings or fights would greatly help in getting these people in jail. |
