Yep!!! :D :D :D

It worked out that I can afford to go! Yay! And my research has shown, thus far, that I do not need a passport at the border. However I feel like it will be a nightmare without one, and I don't need that ('specially after a partaay), so I'm going to have one expedited.

I'm so excited! This will be the first party that I've traveled to. Every one so far has been in the city. And this is also the first time I'm really leaving the country. The only other time was when we went to Niagara Falls for the afternoon.

Yay International Erica!

As long as you have valid photo ID and proof of citizenship (birth certificate) you will not have a problem.

Our friend travels from Buffalo to Toronto every weekend and never has a problem.

You guys will have a blast... you are coming to Canada and I am making my way to NY.

I may make my Bal return next provided Easter is not the weekend before WMC. ;)

THE 14TH WHITE PARTY WEEK HAS QUITE THE DIVINE LINEUP IN STORE
Celebration in every sense of the word is what’s on tap for the 14th edition of White Party Week, which is happening from Thursday to Monday, March 20 to 24. The event that announces the arrival of springtime in Montreal, White Party Week once again guarantees party nights as feverish as they are unforgettable come Easter weekend – beginning with Bal en Blanc itself, where an all-star lineup of some of the most in-demand international DJs on the House and trance scenes holds forth on Sunday, March 23 at the Palais des Congrès (Montreal Convention Centre).

The white tide of party-goers should be moving like never before to the sounds of marquee names that include Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Ferry Corsten, Offer Nissim, Infected Mushroom and Victor Calderone, who will all be vying with one another to elevate the crowd in the two thematic rooms. Nearly 15,000 people are expected once again from 9:30 p.m. to noon at this unique event, which today ranks as one of the most important of its kind in North America. The table is set for 15 hours of divine rhythms inspired by the spirit of openness and the diversity that have made Bal en Blanc’s reputation.
From Thursday to Monday, various satellite events are also on offer as part of this very special urban celebration.

14th Bal en Blanc: a multiplication table of rhythms

The most demanding fans of electronic dance music will have their appetites satisfied and then some by the collection of formidable talents at this 14th edition.

On the House side, Montreal’s Uppercut will (literally) get the ball rolling at the stroke of 9:30 p.m. before handing over the torch to Chilean DJ Cesar “Bass” Romero, well known here for his numerous appearance in our town. A collaborator of Second Sun, France’s Cedric Gervais, American by adoption, will follow with his first set ever at the Bal, and his very festive brand of House will unquestionably make the perfect prelude to the much anticipated return of his compatriot David Guetta – who will himself assuredly be going all out to prove that the world is truly his. In the early morning, it’s the Israeli Offer Nissim’s turn to work the dancefloor with his intense and singular rhythms. Last but hardly least, Victor Calderone will bring the proceedings to a resounding close with his trademark New York vibe.

The honor of kicking off the mix in the Tech room will fall to promoter and DJ Insomnia. The queen of Montreal trance will be serving up a set more than two hours long to lay the groundwork for the eagerly awaited arrival of Infected Mushroom. The Israeli band has an unrivaled intensity when it comes to doing sets that blend together electronic rhythms and seasoned instrumentalists. Mushroom will link their live show to a DJ set all their own before giving way to Ferry Corsten. A figurehead in Dutch trance, Corsten has put his name to some of the most powerful anthems in the genre. His majesty Armin, meanwhile, Number 1 on DJ Mag’s Top 100, will then settle in behind the turntables for another of the sets that are always intensely awaited by his loyal disciples. A new face on the European dance music scene, Menno De Jong will round out the Netherlands trinity in a Bal en Blanc first, before leaving it to Montreal’s Wizz, author of the new official compilation White Is Pure 7, to tie a bow on the festivities from 11 a.m. to noon.
