Like wai said, unfortunately a lot of locals (in particular) decided to come around 12 for several reasons (the many preparties, the lack of interest in the openers, and the fact that in previous years, the lines have been fairly quick and the bulk of people are IN the venue by midnight). The combo of coming at a really bad hour (for the first time ever, the line went OUTSIDE the palais, which tells a lot) and the new firemarshall, I can see why people were pissed about the 2-4 hour wait when you pay $100. Some people Didnt even get in until 4-5am, or even gave up there tickets.
Also, like wai said, we hade PLENTY of room to dance with a ton of people we like, so it was just the perfect situation for us. I think that the people who are bitching dont represent most of the people, mostly because i have NEVER been to a bal where people were going soooo crazy for the music, nor have I seen the place PACKED OUT for the closing DJ's in BOTH rooms. insane insane insane.
Long story short: Worst organization in history of bal's, but the most fun overall that I have had since I started going :) :) cant stop thinking about it......I havent had this much fun since like TW. |

Edit: I find it strange, also, that EVERYONE I know hasnt put a review up yet. recover much? :haha: :haha: (and some of them are still partying with menno.....jealous!!) waiting anxiously for their reviews!!)
I have never been so DONE after a party. I am still suffering at work...... my mind AND soul are still in montreal..... :( :( never had a better trip there :( :( |

lol from what I gather, stereo was open until tuesday. :nervous: My afterparty was the hotel rainshower (the AFTERHOUR SHOWER!!!!!!)----->was put to GOOD use the entire weekend for afterhours!!

| We intended on taking a morning bus home on Tuesday but my cold + being exhausted got the better of me so we switched to an afternoon one. And yes, there were many people in the bus terminal who had just wandered out of Stereo. God bless them. |

pics were taken my malek and other professionals and are usually up by the end of the week. The best place to check em are at edmm.ca :) :) There will be THOUSANDS of pics on that site when the photographers get em up.
I know me and wai and friends are in quite a few of them ;) I have montreal pics up in facebook, including pre-bal with the outfits and wai's fro.
btw: I was hella pissed because this was the first year ever that people were able to take their cameras in, and I didnt bring mine. boo :( thank god malek snapped us a few times. :whip: :( |

I don't think they were letting ppl take them in. They turned Tom away and made him check his. The only way one of our friends was able to get his in was by having another friend crotch it. Tom's camera was a little bulky for me to have pulled that off convincingly. Uhhhh, that's my junk.... :p |
