[REVIEW] Armin @ Pacha 11/09 (pg. 3)

There's ALWAYS places, Made is so well-connected... I bet you they have Armin and PVD dates secured through 2009 already, that's how far in advance they work, so it's hard to believe they couldn't get another venue, for lack of availability, etc.... There's Terminal 5 (former Exit), a new huge concert venue, there's Highline Ballroom which I've heard is niiiiice... There's Hammerstein, Roseland, Nokia Theater, the list really goes on... There's a certain "thing" that happens when it's at Pacha... You have stairways closed, hip hop upstairs, which could be space for people to enjoy Armin's set without being squished... There's 40% of the club's attendees that would have been there even if JP was playing, and that's taking away from the experience of the fans who are there to see their DJ. If Armin could fill in Tobacco Warehouse, in Brooklyn, then what is the thought process that leads to them thinking they need Pacha to be filled up, it's inevitable that it'll be packed...

With me it's always:

"Would you like to sign our special events list, you'll get free admission and emails about our special events coming up?"

"No thanks, man, I get everything already."

"No you don't get everything already."

"I get 3 emails from Pacha and Made per day, and 4 texts a week, I get everything."

"Well maybe should (undiscernible after he trails off and walks away to the next customer to ruin THEIR night)"....

interesting...i wonder how many NEW signups they get with each party...maybe it really does work for them so thats why they keep it up :conf:

altho i have yet to run into someone as contentious as the person you describe. hmm...defensive much?

Armin has indeed officially reached PVD and Tiesto status, of becoming too big to play in a club (at least in NYC)

Also remarkable that the weather didn't affect the turnout

the god pose says it all, doesnt it? lol

and since when has the weather ever affected turnout (well i mean, besides having blizzard storms and whatnot)...cmon im sure you remember standing in many a line during the colder months where the temp was below freezing haahha or when it was raining

Wow look at that tracklist, complete snorefest. I've always been a fan of Armin but seriously, wtf is he doing? Besides a couple tracks, everything else would put you to sleep.

That tracklist looks like this...

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I didn't go. Pacha. They suck.

their combined egos would probably destroy the space-time continuum.

damn u actually got me to laugh out loud twice in one thread...

had a good time, no idea why I set my alarm to 2... didn't want to sleep all day. +1 on what gmoney said about the VIP, ventured into the crowd a couple of times and immedaitely wanted to kill myself

def enjoyed the nite, can't really add much to what anyone else hasn't already said about pacha, etc. great seein everyone last nite too, if anythin, that made up for anything that lacked last nite.

That party was at Arc Novemeber 2003 for Danny Howells Bday when he absolutely tore the roof off that place. (My first time eating Danny Howells personal bday cake (a cake molded into a girls chest with two big breasts and candles coming out) in the VIP section. Ahh the memories. LOL.

i agree with this 100%.

tonight was a disaster and i am someone who is no longer loyal to made events. hopefully in the end this stunt will have cost them some money in the end. i should have heeded the advice of some people on this board.

but some things not in their control.. armins set was just wack. no real flow, PVD's set 2 weeks ago owned armins set tonight.

and its safe to say i despised about 73% of the idiots there last night... total douchebags... ive never been so close to pounding this one dude into the ground and believe me i am NOT someone who starts drama...

terrible vibe....

one song he spun was M6- Destination Six... it was th tune of the week during ASOT 322
