I just arrived in the Netherlands today. It has been sunny here for a few days, but the day I arrive it's cold and cloudy...lol I would estimate that the high temp. today was in the low to mid 40's F. The nights are colder, and my friends say that it gets around freezing, or 32 F.
I just picked up my new Lebara NL SIM card, so if you'd like to trade numbers so we can text each other just let me know and I'll PM you. If any other TA's are coming in early and would like to do a pre-meetup, I think that would be fun!

Hey where did you get the Lebara sim card? I want to get one right away because I have someone to meet up with on Thursday when I land. |

Got mine at the Chinese phone shop in Schagen, where I'm staying now. Every phone shop I went to had them here, though. In Amsterdam, you should just be able to look for the first phone shop and they will have them. These shops will probably close byt 8 or 9 p.m., but just check www.Lebara.nl for store locations (English can be selected on the site).
The Lebara card is 10EUR, and includes 7,50EUR of free call credit. Once the card is inserted, just follow the instructions (press 2 for English), and wait about 5 minutes for the credit to appear. Check your credit balance by dialing 1244 (free call).

| alright, looking at everyone elses time tables and everthing I can tell that our TE group is going to be seperated, with that said, if we want to find one another in the rooms is there gonna be a call sign? will we be carrying walkie talkies? or should we carry certain types of glowsticks? BTW im already preparing for the event by staying up till 6 in the morning cuz i live in the beautiful Naples Italy. Gangsta, Gangsta. |

if you smoke regular cigarettes: Yes you're allowed to smoke inside.
Digital photo cameras are allowed, only not professional ones and video cameras are not allowed. |

TRANCE ADDICT TRANCE ENERGY GATHERING (FEBRUARY 23rd)
Last year it was a great succes :)
This year there will be another gathering, organized by me :toocool:
A great opportunity to meet TA's from different countries.
Last year TA's from USA, Canada, Italy, Malta, Holland, Argentina and some other countries joined it :)
The group picture of last year's gathering (not everybody was in it):
Location of the gathering will be Amsterdam again.
Most of you are staying in Amsterdam, so that's easy.
Trance Energy is starting at 22:00hrs. The doors going open at 21:00hrs and it will be sold out, so we will be going a bit earlier by train to Utrecht, most of you have to buy a train ticket.
It's 15-20 minutes by train and 5 minutes walk from Utrecht Central Station to the Jaarbeurs, so we will leave no later than 20:30hrs by train.
I guess everybody wants to be inside the Jaarbeurs venue between 21:45hrs and 22:00hrs.
I will print out the original flyer of Trance Energy:
So when you come to the gathering and you see me standing with the flyer in my hand, you will know that it's the TA gathering :)

Local weather forecast:
The last 3 days in NL have been beautiful and sunny, but cold (the canals had a thin layer of ice in Medemblick). Light rain is scheduled to fall again on Thursday, and will continue until Sunday when it becomes partly cloudy with some showers.
The best thing is to wear layers of clothing, which can be removed once inside warm buildings. A rain-proof jacket will be very helpful over the weekend too! |
