| Well, at least they got Walsh he did a lot of good things for the Pacers here, but they decided to hold onto Bird. As far as the coaching scenario goes the Knicks should have gone with Jackson instead of Diantoni. |

What they did was another random not so smart decision.
1. Isiah did not make it so thats a start(Good)
2. Removing their top two strongest players, Jamal and Zach(Bad)
3. Add needed Cap space(ok)
4. See #3 to get an all-star(bad)-->I am sure lebron and wade or whoever is in that 2010 free-agent thing will say to themselves"I want a championship right now" Then they will think hmmmm ending my career with alot of money and a ring or alot of money with no Ring. Then the Knicks will look back and wonder why they wasted their time. If they can pull what the 2008 celtics did by 2010 then that will give those high class players even one reason to think about joining the Knicks Until then they have
al harrington, cutino mobely,tim thomas:conf:
PS. God forbid stephon plays one sec of this season :nervous: |

Random? Far from it. With the way salary cap works, it's a great decision.

good is a big understatement

bad is you're trying to win now. great if you're thinking about the future. donnie walsh wasn't hired to win now but get the long term future of the knicks going in the right direction.

it's not just about lebron. the free agents in 2010 is going to be one of the deepest in years. it's also having enough space to resign david lee and/or nate robinson and go after a free agent.

it's ok...their contracts expire in 2010. The Knicks are officially playing with house money now.

marbury could have played yesterday, but he didn't want to. |

For one sec the Knicks looked good and now they changed everything like usual. D'antoni wants a strong line up like (Lakers, San antonio, utah and even his old Suns) but he felt these people would not cut it? Personnaly when Zach came to NY I knew he be problematic but I knew he was the Blazers at the time so in the end it can't hurt and now he showed but now he is gone? Knicks never had a big/strong player and now they got more cap spcae for someone their not sure will come thru 2 years from now.
Its like NY getting rid of Ewing and Starks. Imgaine if they happened at the time of their ultimate skill. There would be anarchy in NY!
My main opinion. If unload players atleast the bottom of the barrel or middle, not the top)
Look at the Bulls. They were rebuilding after the jordan for quite sometime and now they are back to sqaure one.
Playoffs or bust.
PS. You ever listen to Final word on NY1. I wanted to call in last night about the trade but phones were busy:rolleyes: |
