I guess you never heard of DarkSword on here huh? To prove a point he made a killer tune with just FL instruments and effects just so people like you would eat your words....

:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Edit: I found it just for you.

DarkSword - ALLFRUIT

honestly the synths sound like nintendo synths with reverb and delay on them. and not in a good way... because i usually like video game sounds bleeps n bloops and stuff. bad plastic software sound imo.

+1 I've had plenty of programs "recommended" to me but I can't do e with it if I don't know how to use it. You're better off sticking with what you're familiar with.

wtf? That's a dumb argument if I ever saw one.

Logic = $500
FL ($150) + Komplete Synths ($400) = $550

FL (NOW) is more than capable of making awesome tracks, if you know what you're doing. I haven't been producing for very long and have only been using FL for about 18 months, but i've really taken a liking to it.

I don't think it is right to say 'it sucks' or 'it is ' or words to that effect just because you may not get on with it. I can do practically everything i have wanted/needed to do with a sequencer, from complex mixer routing, layering, grouping, slicing, sidechaining etc etc. Even using hardware is not too difficult to do in FL.

It will definately take some getting rid of the old 'fruity loops' stigma that is attached but the sooner that happens, the better.

Then dance is in big trouble, because this seems to be what is coming out of most "pro" producers' studios these days.

All I know is that an artist named "YOB" produced a stellar track named "Big Bag" in a previous incarnation of FLSTudio...

I've been looking all over for tha track, and I was happy to find it again...

Breakfast produces all his stuff in FL Studio and he has had full support for his productions by Ferry, AVB among others. The Sunlight is also in the running for track of the year on ASOT. It can be done, just gotta know what to do...

It's been done here on these boards, although I can't recall who did it. Sounded perfectly fine.

Personally, I think 3xOsc is one of the best synths out there, especially when it comes to basslines. You have a whole lot of control over oscillators, filters, and especially envelopes, and if you're like me and use external effects for everything anyway, then it works perfectly fine.

That was IDarkSwordI, he also made a part2...

I can't believe you guys are still having those discussions about what software is best and that FL sucks. It doesn't matter. Use what You like, and what works for you, If you're not sure, download all of them and try them and buy the one you're gonna use. Any one who has any sort of knowledge and enough experience in producing tracks, CAN MAKE A QUALITY TRACK in any of the modern sequencers. And that's a fact. Most of You will discover this sooner or later. Some of you guys don't even realize how much power You have in your hands. All the vst instruments, vst effect plugins + hardware synths if you wanna go that way or mix both.. I wish i had that when i started 16 years ago, and i only had a atari with cubase without any of that wicked stuff. There was no audio recording in the sequencer, unless you had pro tools - we used multitrack and sequenced everything in real time. We have it so easy now it's not even funny. Quad core\octo core systems that run countless amount of plugins and vsti synths. Anyone can make music this days using those tools, and get very professional results. So stop bashing one another, and bashing different programs/platforms, and get on with the music making. Like I mentioned before... Once you get enough experience You will look back at a post like this and think how immature you were bashing FL or whatever other software, realizing that YOU can MAKE great tracks in any of todays sequencers. (of course we skip stuff like EJAy here) :)
