Use what You like, and what works for you, If you're not sure, download all of them and try them and buy the one you're gonna use. Any one who has any sort of knowledge and enough experience in producing tracks, CAN MAKE A QUALITY TRACK in any of the modern sequencers. And that's a fact. Most of You will discover this sooner or later. Some of you guys don't even realize how much power You have in your hands. All the vst instruments, vst effect plugins + hardware synths if you wanna go that way or mix both.. I wish i had that when i started 16 years ago, and i only had a atari with cubase without any of that wicked stuff. There was no audio recording in the sequencer, unless you had pro tools - we used multitrack and sequenced everything in real time. We have it so easy now it's not even funny. Quad core\octo core systems that run countless amount of plugins and vsti synths. Anyone can make music this days using those tools, and get very professional results. So stop bashing one another, and bashing different programs/platforms, and get on with the music making. Like I mentioned before... Once you get enough experience You will look back at a post like this and think how immature you were bashing FL or whatever other software, realizing that YOU can MAKE great tracks in any of todays sequencers. (of course we skip stuff like EJAy here) :) |
Word. People forget that they can expand their daw into the infinite with dx, vst plugins and so forth, no matter what they use... A sequencer is just a sequencer! Its basic principle is just to arrange ffs! |

I switched from Reason to Fruity and Fruity blew Reason out of the water.
Its also a statistical fact that for every one person who buys Reason there are 4 people who buy Fruity. So who ever is talking this "industry standard" nonsense is just a conformist imo.
I could care less what the "standard" is, FL is a mean music producing machine. |

I do research for a living. You can start by goin to *any DAW neutral website and observing the numbers of people who own both programs. Start somewhere like serioussonds and look with your own eyes. The only correction I would make is that I can't rationally say thats how many people are actually BUYING Fruity but how many people OWN it (either legally or pirated) in comparison to Reason.
Do some research of your own before you go calling BS on other peoples findings. |

You do research for a living, yet you still haven't managed to give me a proper source; I want to see where you got this 4:1 purchasing ratio.
When people challenge your stats, do you regularly change your claims? When it comes to sourcing said statistics, do you leave out the details on the sample you used?
Still sounds like a load of crap to me!
Oh... and I'm not doubting that more people use FL than Reason, however I don't like when people throw numbers out of their asses and call it "fact". |
