I like the fine print also circled in the 'Pwnd' pic. Stating '0 friends & counting'. :stongue:

The core of this argument surely is concerned with the status of trance or any proper dance music. It should remain underground where it progresses through quality and innovation because people like us demand nothing less.

Once something that was once underground becomes commercial i.e. driven by profit and status, that innovation and quality is replaced by repetition of a proven formula.

IMO Armin is contributing to the commercialisation of edm by bringing it to the masses with his current run of CD's / mixes etc, as is Tiesto (though not quite as much now and ISOS comps have always been good) - though I still feel embarassed to pick up a Tiesto ISOS CD in the shops even though I have been a fan since before he sold out. Ferry is borderline - he has done some trash but still pulls some great stuff out of the bag.

But the worst culprits are the marketing people behind the CD's. For example, how many more ing crasher classics can we tolerate??

The most stark example of this commercialisation of edm occurred two weeks ago when my Mum asked for Ministry classics for Christmas........................

It's done.

Armin responded to your trouble designing himself this creative and original cover for ASOT 2007 compilation, and all these creativity's artwork will be in his forthcoming albums from now on.

Could anyone explain me why trance music have the worst CD covers?
