i'd also hesitate to assume that tiesto/armin et al are wholly responsible for the massive amounts of self-promotion we've been subjected to, taking into account that most a-list DJs have scores of promotional/marketing bodies working for them, and that the majority of their hype comes from the club promoters merely wanting to sell tickets...
either way in the grand scale of things, i don't know what DJ or marketing team in their right mind wouldn't want to exploit the fact they'd been voted #1 in the industry's most well-known poll in order to garner more fans.. there are far worse crimes out there really. it's only when they start steering themselves down a safer risk-free musical route in order to maintain their status that it get to be a problem.. something which Mr Van Buuren is far more guilty of. |

Googooly, you're the reason why people dislike Armin's empire.
It's not your fault, you're a retarded and stupid fan of Armin because he's brainwashed you with subliminal messaging in his music.
He prays on the weak-minded (such as yourself) and turns you into an obedient zombie that uses poorly structured posts and unconvincing insults as his primary weapons. On your own, you are useless, but if you were to bring a squadron of your Armin-Lover-Zombies on here, you might have a chance at winning an argument.
Or maybe not, I'm not sure if IQs can be collectively added together amongst a group of complete idiots to form a "group-wide" IQ that rivals that of one of our stupider members.

Seriously, he should have named his show, Armin :Smackdown.
If you think about it his shows are exactly like pro wrestling. You know what he does is fake and rehearsed, but are so into without knowing why you don't care. All the guys use the same moves (tracks) but pretend like they are their own. Most of the people there would not admit going because its a guilty pleasure and they wouldn't want anyone knowing about. Basically like wrestling the fans just want to go and act like morons for a few hours while throwing their arms up and shooting gang signs up just like their heroes do on center stage. When everything is done, the events that unfolded during the evening lead you to want to smack someone in the face with a chair for a few days. That or do a "seantyas" dropkick to whoever made you go.

To be honest, I think Armin is absolute but if you can post why you think he isn't in a decent way then that's cool.
