It was so goddamn obvious but guess what, the guy that was selling the beer didn't do a thing and was just waiting for his 25 cents...
Nobody but the security cares... I guess... |
Wow , it seems you are more concerned about the drug use in raves then the quality of the event or the music.
What happened to just minding your own damn business and having fun? |

For me 2008 started with me being searched by security , not quite the place i was intending to be for the countdown but hey there is a first time for everything i suppose.
I searched fairly tight but they didn't take off my belt or doing anything more then what i have seen before.
I noticed quite a few people getting caught and alot of young girls with nice outfits on being escorted out by police , i don't think they had a great night like the other 7000. But i guess some people have to learn their lessons that way.
Caught the end of Fabi's set, not bad but i was it was a little more mainstream for my preference. That may have been a result of the promoters telling him to play that way for that timeslot.
Grondin was good but i have heard better , i agree that is was a little cheesy/diva at times but people are still warming up i guess.
Vibe for me was fantastic. I loved most of his set and he was the highlight for me.
Lawler was great at times and other times a little too minimal for my preference, but overall an excellent set.
I'm not a big fan of trance so i left at 7:30 , however Marcus actually sounded pretty good and i would have stayed if i liked his style more.
Always room for improvement but i was VERY satisfied with that night.
And i was one of those who attended the Sasha/Digweed with Sander Kliendenburg event on friday and for all those who say it's too much to do both i say one trick that works for me..... I don't stay awake for 2 days straight nor get so cracked out of my tree such that it requires 2 weeks to recover.....

I just find it hilarious to point such things out that is all,
And to give an honest opinion about the music:
I would say that the househeads got their party right on the dot @ Resolution 2008, and with the crazy friday night booking. The party for the house part was better then Sensation @ the Bell Centre in my opinion , many many beautiful women and everyone was feeling the vibe until around the end of Lawlers set)))
Thats when like 30% of the people just left the stage and there was too much dirt(bottles and stickers that kept sticking to my shoes:D ) + Sketch on the floor.
I was expecting to go to the party to see a great performance from Markus Schulz and Sander Van Doorn, but quickly realised that SVD @ 9 am in the morning just simply does not fit well.. He would rock my sock @ 5am(like they put Rank 1 @ Sensation) and Markus Schulz.... Well he did not play quite as I expected him to play.
I really liked the last 2 hours of Lawlers set and and DJ Vibes set made my party...
However in the future what I would like to see(and probably won't in Montreal) Is putting the trance a little earlier (round 3 or 4am so people can still have energy for them) cause frankly with the last years overloading of the Bell Centre and the (possible chance of tickets being oversold etc, you come early at around 11-12, and partying hard and dancing for 9-11 hours in a row even with breaks with/without doping just won't make the party be good at 10 am in the morning... |

Found on a site against toxicomanie from the guv of qc.

Oh man just got home from Montreal, Sooo much fun, Saturday night went to Stereo, AMAZING sound system, but wasn't feeling the vibe.
Sunday night went to Parking with Barbina and DJSketchbag to see Donald Glaude for $8 including coat check.
Monday night Resolution:
Franco Fabi: 6/10
DJ Vibe: 8.5/10 - I went to sleep for the first hour of his set cause I was pretty damn tired, but Vibe was dropping bombs after bombs and people yelling kept waking me up lol.
Lawler: 6.5/10 - He couldn't continue the vibe that Vibe had lol. The last hour of his set was pretty good however.
Markus Schulz: 8/10 - He started off with a couple trance songs then played some prog trance, and moved on played a few fluffy trance but it was mostly darker proggy trance. I've seen him play better. Can't wait to see him again in Toronto :D
Sander Van Doorn: 8.5/10 - Can't believe he started off his set with Riff, pretty brave. But he kept the slamming tech trance sound through out his whole set, and his energy is contagious the whole time he's smiling and dancing.
It was nice celebrating the new years with friends at this amazing party. And nice meeting some MTLTAs: Malek, DJ Inferno? Trance gal? |
Glad you had fun and it was nice meeting you too. LOL I saw u sleeping at one point. |
