Lawler kicked ass.... end of thread

I find, esp the local DJS, they have to cater to a NYE mainstream crowd, thats why, personally for me, it wasnt that good, only good time for music was Vibe and Lawler, its really hard to please everyone at this event there are soooo many different crowds with different music tastes that come to resolution

maybe thats why Fabi had to play diva/cheese wtv, crowd was all clubbers/mainstreamish, either way i find NYE massives to have weird musical flows....

There were definitely times I felt like I was on an airing of Electric Circus or some , so ya. Guys like Vibe, Lawler and SvD were foreign to probably the majority of people in there.

hahahahahahahahaha nice one

I think all the major event organizers should start investing more into production (lights, sound etc)

I thought the sound at resolution was ing perfect, but after seeing the Sasha & Digs videos, holy , the lighting :eyespop: :eyespop:

Really wish I wasn't out of town for that one and hope Tribe throws another party. Lighting that good makes me want to pop pills =P

Bof.

I dunno if it's because I also went out hard at the AMC on Friday night for Sasha, Digweed and Kleinenberg, but this year, Resolution was vraiment moyen! Nothing good, nothing bad. Just plain.

I found it very cheesy and cheap for some reason. The lighting was not very elaborate, almost non-existent. It seemed as if last year there was more light shows. Or is it just me? If you were at the AMC on Friday you now know what a light show is!!

I am happy with the music played. I love both house and trance and was satisfied with Grondin and Vibe. Lawler was a bit of a downer for me at first especially after a very positive Vibe set. He really took me out for a bit and had to get back into it. It totally woke me up when he played Tomas Andersson's Washing Up and I was good to go for the rest of the night... I had never heard Markus live and I'm happy with what he played. I only lasted 45 minutes of Sander's set. Not that he was bad, I was just too tired and left. It's too bad cause I really wanted to hear SVD play (why did they change the schedule?).

So after last year's ticket fiasco at Bal en Blanc and now a so-so Resolution party, it's really time to pick it up for TrackLive and BEB productions..... and especially since the next BEB is lining-up DJs who already played at BEB 13 ... ça commence a manqué d'originalité!

Happy new year everyone and I wish you all another great year. Always be proud ambassadors of Montreal's EDM scene (we have a reputation to keep!) :)
