Don't get me wrong Malek, I am not arguing with you and sincerely hope for you guys (I dont even live in Montreal anymore) that it gets even better.(From a personal point of view its hard to beat, imo i think Ricardo is the best there is right now and makes the mtlta idol Sven look like Offer Nissim on a technical level.) Seriously though, the underground movement in Montreal is grass roots right now (nothing wrong with that but...), you have to admit its nice to see a booking worthy of underground status brought into a venue that holds 2000. I miss Montreal, and I miss the old school inovative Aria vibe...this is the type of event this is. JFL brought guys from Europe no one else in this country (or the us ) would touch. I know you have fond memories of those days. You arent gonna see any roid ginos and the carwash crew here me thinks, and all the chicks will be so ugly it will make you want to poke your eyes out with forks...but the room will be banging.

expect tons of out of towners, because Villalobos in North America only happens in Montreal. Don't miss this. :D

You're really making me wanna come to this....

Great to hear from ya Jay.
Dj Nacht
Jay you champ the way you describe things is priceless!

lolol hahah
Passskal
don't be so sure about the ugly chicks.

many chicks actually dig the Villalosexyness

plus..it's a piknic event... :-)
elFreak
thats not my point.

This event is not like tribe with half naked dancers, drunk college girls acting like little whores, and people faking the funk and trying to be high rollers. Its about music.

ps ive seen some of the scariest looking women ever at piknic.:p
Sean Walsh
Hey man, don't knock on the drunk college girls :haha: :haha: :haha:

Seriously though I'm looking forward to this madness. Been on this guy's jock for months now since planning on hitting up Berghain last fall, unfortunately that plan fell through so I'm stoked to get to see him for the first time.
elFreak
i've knocked too many college girls and they all got me in trouble.
mastercongo
im making him play his remix of depeche mode the sinner in me. whoa the conclave sound gonna be messing up the whole room.

primer encuentro latinoamericano de la soledad!!!!!!!!!!! wonder how many latins will make it to see him in mtl.

yeahhhh well i guess i'll go.

looking forward to this cuz he's sick, not a typical booking, awesome venue.

not looking forward to this cuz i dislike the kind of crowd he pulls (ie: minimal tech emo children alllllll of which are pilled out of their minds...this does not make for an inviting dancefloor when half the people on it are scaring me half to death...put some ing sunglasses on, for goodness sake).

not looking forward to this though, mainly because it's burridge the night before therefore hey! maybe ill be just as skecthy as those emo kids! just kidding :p

jay you know i'll say hi to you :) and yes, maher will be coming. he's the one encouraging me to go, even if i am super ed from lee. we'll see how things go down.

how is the dancefloor not going to be inviting? everyone will just be in their own world immersed in the music. his sets are a trip and his transistions do not just go from A to B like most DJ's. and i still dont get the connection between emo + "minimal tech kids"... quite a generalization. looking at the attendees on facebook, most of the people seem to be a bit older...my friends and I will probably be among the youngest there (im 19). and im sure plenty of people will be in sunglasses, ricardo included ;) and im sure the vibes will be good. positive attitudes are key.

anybody not going to this is stupid

sick venue, and a DJ that you won't see in North America for a longgg time!
