Ahhhhh

Der Krieger und die Kaiserin!

My best friend had recommended, even gone as far to BUY me this ing movie which he ranted and raved about, about 3-4 years ago.

But I for some reason never got around to watching it... finally did that sometime last year... and I was impressed. Pretty good film. Very interesting.

pretty cool, kinda scary french film called "caché"

i like weird movies (the weirder, the better for me) so i dont know if this would be any body else's cup of tea.

but if you're ever in blockbuster and you cant figure out what you want to rent....keep this in mind.

Before SHOWCASE channel 39 on Rogers in Toronto changed their line up a few years back, I was the king of watching ridiculous foreign movies of all types. For years they would have a foreign film every night of the week at 10pm for the longest time.

Miss the old line up SHOWCASE had because I never had to rent a foreign film ever.

Reading subtitles during the most pivotal points in a movie was my favorite passtime! :D

District 13....awesome foreign action flick, with parkour as the central focus of the movie. Fun to watch David Belle in action.

Ong Bak, this movie had my blood pumping like crazy in the theatre. Haven't seen part 2 yet, apparently more of a display of weapons than hand-to-hand combat.

Yeah, both of those are good.

My first suggestion is "The Sea Inside" Spanish film based on a true story, of a man who was paralyzed in his 20's cliff diving and fought the government to legally end his life with dignity for 30 years from his bed...along the way people who are for and against his wishes learn alot about the meaning of life, touched by his thoughts and advice.

IMO a beautiful flick

I hope this gets the ball rolling

Great movie, watched it a few years ago. I always thought it was interesting how in the end, the woman who also wanted to end her life while she could, could not do so anymore.

one of the most inspirational and moving pictures i have seen in a long time. completely blew me away.

has the same spirit as "life is beautiful" and Viktor Frankl's 'Man's Search for Meaning'.

Hochelaga - Quebec movie on biker gangs
After an unpleasant run-in with a group of bikers, a young convenience store robber (Marc) gets approached by the same bikers to help out with a picnic. After the picnic, seeing he has guts, the bikers propose him for membership. As the story unfolds, Marc winds up questioning his own morality and wondering whether he's going down the wrong path. The biggest problem, however, is that one of his friends got him into trouble, and he has little time to fix it...

one of Ang Lee's earlier movies (written and directed by him). this movie is THE movie that gave him hollywood cachet and allowed him to do wahtever he wanted (ie: Crouching tiger Hidden Dragon, Sense and Sensibility, Hulk, Brokeback Mountain)

awesome character story, with great cinematogaphry.

highly recommended.
