They actually played a very nice move.....They were like since they will play the race card anyways we shall make them happy for few hours and once they wake up next morining we shall let them know about how to go about and get these schools up and running.At a simple cost of $325,000 ONLY from their own pockets. |

Well I'm happy that I don't pay municipal taxes to Toronto. If McGuinty's Liberals are true to their word, these schools will get 0 funding from the Province. Typical David Miller and TO City Council style, cry poor, then waste more and more money on liberal social policies and programs.
You guys have a great Government over there east of Queen Hazel's Dominion of Mississauga. |

I didn't get what you were saying, that's why I was asking... as I said, I didn't know whether you were joking or actually being serious. For myself, as I have said, I thought that the relations between Serbs, Croatians, and others have more or less normalised, I don’t think they hate each other, that's why I was surprised at your comment - maybe it was a joke, but I didn't get it, I wasn't sure, that's all.

Obviously you don't. But others who are still concerned with misconceptions, and even more so with people loosely spreading misconceptions, still do. Seriously, you should have just kept your comments out of this thread, since it had nothing to do with the topic of discussion. Especially considering Oz said it was an inside joke; thus keep it inside to yourselves unless you really want to do the right thing and actually explain the situation, as you see it, fully. |

A few years ago, when I lived in a different part of Scarborough, there was a nice Yugo boy that waited with me at a bus stop almost every morning when I went to school... and sometimes we took the same bus going home in the afternoon. Too bad I never really strike up a conversation with him, he seemed like a nice guy (although sometimes stern) but I was too shy. Ah well.... :D |

actually the joke did have something to do with the "theme" of this thread which is why i said: "...this thread makes me wanna send my kids to an ALL BALKAN school" which would mean to separate them from all other cultures and races...you see the connection?? And the serb part is what many ppl would still assume anyways (that we don't get along)which beleive it or NOT was part of the joke. Anyways, honestly if you can't handle the joke i dont't give a bc if i did i wouldn't have made the joke in the first place lol. I made myself clear and if you're still offended then YOU go ahead and do the "right" thing by explaining the situation as YOU see (but it has nothing do do with this topic as you've said so maybe u should start a new thread lol) |
