Drunks burn out, typically around 3, at dance events. In reference to my post, in which I explained that he was playing as if the night ended around him, it may now be a little more apperant.

Actually in most cases it is. Clubs (especially Guv) usually start clearing out around 2:30 - 3:00, and a lot of the time it's the people who have been drinking that leave. I know every time I went out I would _eagerly_ await 3 because that meant I would finally have some space on the dance floor.
Now I'm not saying ALL the people who have been drinking leave at this point, but again, they are the majority of the leavers.
Afterhrsgirl, calm down. His post was nicely written, and he did allude to the fact that he thought Armin shouldn't have played like he was closing. I'm a huge fan of Armin myself, and I most likely wouldn't have cared at all if he was playing like a closer, but I respect Elendil's opinion. No need to get all riled up about nothing and throw petty insults about. |

So what is there NOT to understand about that? I think you made that pretty clear. So don't be so surprised at my reaction. Also, just because he doesn't play the type of trance you like or because YOU don't feel he played appropriately for the night (as you've stated in the post) doesn't make it a bad set. Even in the review thread a loooot of ppl agreed that it was a decent set. Sure it wasn't perfect but don't exagerrate and say it's THE WORSE SET EVERRRR!!!! |
