So I realize this is an old thread, but my friend who created it referred me to it because I'm now looking into a new cam for myself.
I was set on getting the Canon 870 that is highly recommended but I just learned its being discontinued and that the 880 is its upgrade. However, I do not know if it has the same great video quality for the loud EDM shows.
Does anyone own or have experience with the 880 and know if it does? :) |

| dunno about the sound quality but my preference for canons is that they have incredibly fast start up and focus times. that's huge at a club with low/weird light situations... |

Yes that's one of the features I love about Canons. I have an old one but my videos NEVER come out clear so I am for sure getting myself an upgrade. I'm just not sure which one yet. |

| hey connoisseurs, would you get the Canon G10 or the Panasonic LX3 for multi usage...as I don't have much money to spend on lenses...I really like the wide angle thingie to take city shoots... |

SD880 is THE camera to get, and one i'm looking to buy (as soon as I find a good deal on it; good deal = <$200)
it has a new digicIV image processor and a new video codec (h64 or something) |
