What about the Cannon SD1100 IS? Anyone had any experience with this one? The 880IS is more than I wanted to spend. Wondering if this one will do just as good with the videos?

I have the SD1000.
Great cam for the size, but as with all ultra-compact Canons, the bass response of the mic is too sensitive for clubs. :(

This statement is misleading. Don't get the SD600 replacement, and you will find that is not the case. SD870 and SD880 do not have this problem.
soon to be my next digital camera. they have tons of video in youtube about this camera.

I purchased the SD870IS after creating this thread and I am VERY pleased. Sounds great in all sorts of clubs and events, and the bass does not distort anything at all.
Don't follow Canon's model numbers, one would think that the SD1000 is better than the SD870, but I would think otherwise (as can be seen by the price tags).

I am trying to get a video that a friend made at a club. He posted on youtube and it shows the sound is not distorted as in that SD1000 video.
