I am keeping out of this as much as I can but I have one statement I have to make.

I feel for his mom, I could cry just trying to imagine the hurt she is going through but to come out with the 'drugs will kill you' is the most damaging thing that can come from his death.

Kids will try drugs and when they don't die, they will take them again. They will take a different drug or cocktail of drugs and when they don't die, they will take more.

Education is what should be coming out of this death. Educate your kids! Don't tell them not to do it!

From what I know, Andy died from accidentally taking G. Let's talk about that instead of showing a picture of him next to some K vials and pills. Let's inform people that a couple of big gulps of G will kill you, especially if you are already on K and your taste buds are anaesthetized...

Empower people to make their own decisions.

I hate seeing the picture up there but its placement has a purpose so I will not argue with that. Andy died doing something we shouldnt ever do, GHB, its a drug with too fine of a line and could, in mass amounts, kill. Otherwise theres such a fine line between the right high and falling face forward on your ass or even passing out not to wake up. Personally I dont see the fun in taking it and dont enjoy hanging around people on the drug, they just dont act themselves at all, but I am not hear to bash the drug or force my views on it.

This guy was no angel, but he was human and a friend, alot of you are painting pictures of what happened to him in an lil manner fashion which is disrespectful to him and people that cared about him.

No one is ever just that guy who died from a drug over dose.

He partyed but we saw him the night before, he was sleeping to go to zone the next morning, he was not partying all weekend, he did what alot of us could have done at an after party in the states some of us have been in at those after parties.

Who knows if the drugs were bought at the zone, they probably werent, however everyone is missing the point, CZ needed to be raided, no other club in Toronto is so open about drug use and the oppurtunity to buy in there is vast, I wouldnt be surprised if the club was helping sell the drugs which again, is speculation, but they did find at least a thousand pills behind the bar. There were nice bouncers there, dont get me wrong, but there were some real s who didnt treat patrons right, knew exactly what was going on and didnt do about it. I heard stories of people getting beat down in the bathroom and the bouncers not even giving a .

They dont treat their patrons like a club should and that is illegal. Everyone loves the zone, hell the music there was the best and I had so many good times there after I swore it off three years prior after being there and having a bad experience. Still doesnt take away from the fact that what they were doing was running a good thing in the ground. Hopefully now the place will clean itself up and maybe make more money knowing that people will go there knowing that the that previously went on doesn't. I can't tell you how many people that truly love this type of music wont go because of sketch factor, maybe we can see those faces there now?

I am sure that who ever Andy was with blamed the club, who wouldnt being put in that situation? Be mad at them but dont be mad at the family. He comes from a good Italian family, what did you expect, her son died and went to this place which is known as a drug haven, WHICH IT WAS, why shouldnt she cause ?

So for all of you pissed off that this happened to zone, get a life and look at reality and the way the world runs. Yes it happened to a great place we love, was there correction needed in the place? yes. I hope it does get rid of the low life scum that hang out in there.
capo tutti di
Excellent Documentry from BBC Horizon called "is alcohol worse than ecstasy?"

It outlines Britain's 20 most consumed drugs.

Ecstasy is the 3rd LEAST harmful drug. And infact should be a "class c" drug.

Anyhow they stated the real danger with GHB which I do not think cracked the top 10 was that there is a very fine line of feeling really high or actually overdosing, the symptoms aren't much different so then it can be dangerous without much of an indicator if you've taken too much.

urban_legend, i am very sorry for the loss of your friend and i think ur words pretty much sum it up...

i think open dialogue and discussion is very important, but i have been sickened by posts that have elevated the CZ to some type of icon in this scene of ours..people seem to want to defend this establishment that has, in it's own way, contributed to the demise of the scene in T.O...Maybe i'm on old fart and i have memories of a time when things were different and there was inspiration to be found on our dance floors....I remember getting together with thousands at IDance and standing up this scene and being proud to be there with my head held high.....now, the only thing we have to rally behind is an establishment such as CZ..?? i just find it truly sad...

invasionmix...5"5 long curly hair..olive complexion..and ya i was with another girl dancin up a storm stage left..:)

VDub, with all due respect, none of us can say what we would or would not do if we lost a child in such a way....i don't presume to judge the actions of a suffering mother..nor would i ever...and comfort zone is not important enough to me in the scheme of things to talk about him or his family...

once again, just my opinion...

I agree with you there...

And I also agree that the Zone is not important enough...

I was referring more to the ordeal that the patrons that day had to go through..

And while their ordeal was nothing compared to Andy's family, it was an unnecessary ordeal none the less...

I have one friend who is a good person but made a choice which got him charged...

And the other who had his head stomped on by a police boot for asking what was going on...

That same friend had an MP5 pointed at his head and told he wouldn't be told again....

And yet had another friend who was lead around at gunpoint in order to turn the lights on and was dismissed into the cold wearing a tank top with his jacket and phone confiscated...

Zone closes...oh well...I had my fun there...

But my friends I feel for...

And Kytracid.....

Stick your moron up your ass...
