Not exactly. I'm saying a typical Toronto chick owns most, if not all of these things and may wear them in combination with other things.

More generalizations. What constitutes "Europe"? Large cities? Towns? Rural areas? I've been to my fair share of European cities, and I can easily say that Toronto has one of the most diverse fashion scenes that I've ever seen. Granted it doesn't compare with London or Paris, but if you walk down Queen West, you see a lot of different, cool styles. Sure, if you go to the Eaton Centre you'll see a lot of the same outfits, but Toronto's fashion scene still has variety. If you take the youth of the city I'm living in now for example (Lyon, France), a grand majority wear either LaCoste or a combination of H&M and Zara. There is barely any variety here at all.

I guess I should be more specific: since I'm comparing apples to apples here, when I say "Europe" I'm refering to developed areas, which may range from small cities to large cities. I'm not talking about rural areas, but specifically developed areas in Europe compared to Toronto. And in terms of generalizing, refer to my earlier post.

I'm pretty sure its not just London and Paris that Toronto doesn't compare to.

As for Lyon, is it like that just for the youth ... what about young adults and middle aged people? Is there a variety in those age groups? Also how long have you lived there, and how many different people have you seen? Outside of style, what about people's personalities there? How do you compare people's intelligence and imagination to people in Toronto?

just out of my girlfriends (girls of all different backgrounds, who live in different areas, attend different schools, work at different places) only 1 in 20 fall under the above description... i would say that's hardly typical...

So none of the other 19 girls own any TNA/Lulu pants or gear (purses, hats, etc) and none of them wear sweatpants with furry boots? How about wearing skirts on top of pants, or skirts on top of jeans? How about Gucci or Prada bangs and sunglasses?

Like I said earlier, from my experience, the majority of girls I've met are "typical" Toronto chicks. By majority, I mean more than half. Your friends could easily fall into the minority that are not typical Toronto chicks. I never said ALL girls in Toronto are 'typical Toronto chicks', but the majority.
