I could care less about Led Zeppelin and the Beatles.
I enjoy hardcore rock, punk and all sorts of music. But nothing moves me the way dance music moves me. And Progressive Trance/house, tech house, breakbeats etc are all my favorite genres of music period. They win. they are the best.
It has nothing to do with if it can be taken seriously. And there is a LOT of crappy trance/house music. a LOT. the good stuff as somoene mentioned like Sasha...he doesn't even mix records anymore. He has a custom mixer/controller that interfaces with his laptop and he uses ableton live and other tools to play, cut up, remix on the fly and basically perform a dj set that no one just mixing record on top of record could do. Just cus Zeppelin and those guys had some good stuff and some people take THAT seriously (I personally don't) that doesn't mean others don't take a music, that you think is just for a good time seriously. My 2 cents.

I don't like this thread, it brings the worst out of some poeple. But to answer your question: no, trance is not my favorite genre.
And also, it's so cliche to use Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles as examples. |

Hey common, I was just explaining him the post he had problems in comprehending.. I didnt compared trance genre as a whole with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. Pink and Led are good.. but Beatels is just okay for me.. Was it Beatels who made 'Hotel California'? Coz thats the only track I heard and liked from them.. I dont understand the whole hoopla surrounding Beatels in first place. |
