mixed feelings on that one..
if anything i think the pizza guy deserves a tip more than teh bartender/server if.... there isnt a delivery charge |

no... it was 15something then tax and delivery charge was extra $3+
delivery charge was $2 |

Maybe delievery charge is because of the poor guys gas.
Fed Ex and UPS all raised their rates because of gas prices :whip: |

They get the delivery charge to cover gas and company insurance + a portion of it goes to a tip anyway. When they charge 3 dollars on top of the price of pizza, I know it doesn't take a gallon of gas to get to my place and back from the pizza place. I consider that the tip. If they have a problem with that, or they start expecting/relying on the tips to live they need to get a new job.
Bartenders make more in tips than they should. I would make a minimum of 25% in tips when I worked for just doing what makes me happy. It was more than I deserved but I won't turn it away. The difference is I will neither ask for nor expect a tip either. |
