Yep, that's about spot on. Depends upon the crowd though. If I'm just looking to get plastered, I'll start off with a sam adams or something similar... depending upon the selection. A few beers in, i don't mind the cheaper drinks. For the most part, I prefer to pay more for a better quality beer. Bud... ugh.

I was at a bar a few months ago (I live in new york city) and in buying rounds, some guy actually bought cans of keystone. CANs of KEYSTONE. At a decent manhattan bar! I was as much surprised that they sold that trash as much as that I would find it in front of me, 5 years out of being a college freshman.

I think I just left it there or gave it away...

keystone is basically 3.2 beer and if you dont live out west, be happy you dont know what that means.

oh and my original point was, 30 pks of busch are now like 18 dollars, so if they were five, yeah i would get some|

i am spoiled with micro's around here, but sometimes you need something that doesnt require introspective enjoyment. my main pet peeve are the heineys and rolling rocks and becks that eek out a middle ground between questionable domestics and decent craft beers. they rely more on brand image than the buds and coors, but rarely deliver on taste|

the Abite Springs brewery down near baton rouge is *amazing*. speaking of which, i should drive down there and get some more, lol.

i'm a huge fan of becks...and even bigger fan of Lowenbrau (SOGOOD). pretty much anything from Germany > * for me. and even when i was in college, i'd rather spend the extra few bucks on good tasting beer.

THAT'S RETARDED THING TO SAY. We have so many ing awesome breweries besides the you see advertised, it's not even funny. There's a little private brewery not too far from where I live - they have 8 different varieties, each will put best German and Czech beers to shame and IT S YOU after a pint. I can't stand bitter beers like DAB or beer that tastes like loaf of bread stuffed in the bottle. I also can't ing stand sweet (very sweet) beer. Some of the imports I tried were ing nasty and waste of money. Some of the best beer has been US made. None was Bud, Miller, Coors or any other "major" brewery. Unless you count Yuengling beer as "major".

Also, I love canadian beers - Blue Moon, Molson Ice... and Rickard's Red - omg!!! the best draft beer evar!

don't knock yank or shall I say "north American" beers till ya tried it.

Didn't read the whole thread, but for crap's sake you're at the Four Seasons. What do you expect? :conf:

It's not that Bud is bad, it's more about the location.

see i dont mind Abita, ive had more than a few in my time, but their raspberry -whatever shouldnt even be in the beer section. the mikes hard lemonade section perhaps...

Germany is great, but when you can get Spaten, why Becks? bitburger id prefer over becks....tbh germany has some of the most complex flavors of any beer maker and becks is not involved in that. they just make a beer more skunky and call it oktoberfest...

Old Chub is a Scottish strong ale brewed with hearty amounts of seven different malts, including crystal and chocolate malts, and a smidge of US and UK hops. Old Chub also gets a dash of beechwood-smoked grains imported from Bamburg, Germany, home of the world's greatest smoked beers. Old Chub is 8% alcohol by volume.
