LoL.. i just had a lucid dream this morning.
Me and my mates were supposed to get out of a jail or something. So after getting out of our cell, I opened a hatch and realised that theres a long drop to exit the place.i hesitated at first and me and my friends decided to find another way to exit. Then suddenly theres a 3rd person perspective from OUTSIDE the prison looking thru the window I'm supposed to jump.
Thats when I realised I was dreaming and decided to take the plunge anyways. After reaching the bottom of the hill, met a beautiful young girl and then happily ever after!LOL. |

Yeah, I've had lucid dreaming, but not in a while though. Usually I suddenly realise that I'm dreaming. So when this huge tiger comes to eat me (wtf?), I just *poof* make him go away and the party is on... :D
I wish I had lucid dreaming this night! there were some parts of that dream I would have wanted to explore more... :D

| Wow... this thread is great. I first heard about this 4 years ago, and had a couple lucid dreams, probably because I was thrilled about it. Never had any more, but I kind of disregarded everything about it. Have to start doing this again... I've been remembering my dreams really well. Really good dreams, too ;) |

i have lots of lucid dreams. they're so much fun. i had a really vivid one a few months ago where i was sitting with my boyfriend and we were talking and i realized i was dreaming. i told my boyfriend that i was dreaming and he was like "yeah, i know, we both are" and i got really excited because i thought we were sharing a dream. when i woke up i actually woke up my boyfriend to see if he had had the same dream as me and he just kind of looked at me like i was crazy.
i also have lots of dreams where im working right before i wake up for work:whip:
i also have a reoccuring dream where i'm on an airplane and it's about to crash and i wake up and my entire body is vibrating it's sooo weird.
and has anyone had a dream in which they are doing drugs and you actually feel high?? i quit doing drugs a few years back and i keep having these dreams, they're weird.
and one more question, right before i fall asleep sometimes i'll feel like i'm falling and i'll startle myself awake..does this happen to anyone else??:conf: |

Can anyone do this? Im workin on it nowadays.. just a cool thing to be able to do IMO..
For those who dont know what it is------->
Lucid dreaming is when you are fully aware you are dreaming but remain in a dream state of sleep (REM). Perks: Limitless, inconsequential environment. When you get "good" at this and can really grasp what is going on around you without waking, you can actually control the flow of your dreams and basically do whatever you please becasuse it isn't reality.
I dunno, just curious if anyone on here has wierd interests like me...
cheers,

I know how to go tripping with the right drugs, so if you're doing this completely sober more power to ya! ....don't believe it though.

| Anyone watch itv at around 9pm? a program exploring the bad sides of REM, ppl being fully awake but there brains still tells them there asleep and also creates unpleasant images such as demons etc making them believe its all true. had video footage of this guy being awake walking round his room running from something he was terrified :/. |

Nothing, after all, can alter the brain state as well as the mind...

It's called a myoclonic jerk. The cause is not well understood, but it's essentially large body muscles contracting suddently, leaving your psyche to come up with an explanation (the falling sensation). I have it now and then. |

Apologies for not being able to read all posts on this thread. I had a lucid dream last week, my first in a long time. My son woke me up during this. I don't want to go into detail but I think this is something that should be explored more. It is plainly obvious that certain things can trigger your mind into realising that you are dreaming, for instance how many people have had a thought whilst dreaming only for it to happen within the dream, then be suddenly awakened by what I describe as a shock because the thought was random or uncontrolled but upon waking the realisation is there that the thought provoked the image which appeared or "happened". On the same token, how many people have woken up to darkness, knowing that they are awake only to find that they can't move. You try to throw your arm over, or kick your leg, or sit up but you can't. This sensation can last seconds or even what may feel like minutes, as if your body isn't awake but your mind is. Scary lol. I would love to be able to choose my dreams but i've heard that the best time to initiate lucid dreaming is just after you wake up. As soon as possible after waking, go back to sleep and think of something like a clock, or the moon any object which when dreamt about will remind you of being awake only a few moments ago (this ties your concious mind to reality), then you can realise that you just went to sleep and begin exploring. | ok, this has been happening to me lately, i realize that i'm in a dream and then i try saying "item appear hear etc. etc." and it's not working. could it be because my subconcious doesn't want that? and that thing i want in my dream is private :) |

and does anyone have this problem too?
so you are at a club, and your mind makes the perfect song for you.
then you wake up forgetting the melody!!!! |
