for some reason i tend to spell safety as saftey.
I think definitely is probably the most common misspelled word. |

these days the list seems to be getting longer
the longer i speak English it seems i cannot spell words properly
i remember in high school, while taking English i simply knew how to spell words i never heard before or knew what their meaning is
has anyone who speaks English as a second (or nth) language experienced this? |

I've had trouble with this one too...
As I've mentioned somewhere on another thread here in TA, words that have the same doubled consonant letters give me trouble... perhaps because my native language is phonetically-based.
(Although on the other hand, I've become immersed in an all-English environment before I turned 12... so English is sort of like my native language as well :tongue3) |
