I went through hell in my first year chem class in the states, spelling Sulphite, Sulphate (Brit/Canadian) instead of Sulfite, Sulfite (American)
Always got points taken off! |

recieved and received
retrieve and retreive
greif and grief
also "disease" used to kill me (no pun intended) until a light bulb went off that it's dis + ease
etc. :( |
