Back when I was studying criminal justice and on a 'ride along' with a cop, he asked me how to spell the word 'sat'. I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. I told him how to spell it, and he didn't believe me. Looked it up in the massive hardcover dictionary he had in his back seat.

Ahahaha, this reminds me that I was pronouncing the word 'target' wrong for a long time and I didn't want to believe my friend when he told me how it is supposed to be pronounced correctly. I was saying it as "target" (the g sound was as in "Geez"), and thought it was right. Ha ha...
(Also I was confused about why the name "Gilbert" in Anne of Green Gables is pronounced as they say it... instead of "Gilbert" as in "Geez"). |

Words I always spell wrong:
Antidisestablishmentarianism
Pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

Though I know that here in North America it's "aluminum," I have always and probably will always spell it "aluminium," the British spelling.
Not sure why. |

This is a good one. Although it's generally just me forgetting if it's spelled 'licence' or 'license' in Canada. |
