I'm not always with my boyfriend but we always do go out together.
I don't have any friends up here and we hang out with his friends very rarely. I don't think it's a bad thing. There's more to a friendship then going out with them all the time.
I do go crazy when I see them back home. but it makes the time even more crazier and special :toocool:
edit - I'm not controlling. My bf can do whatever he wants but I know it's going to always involve me. *whip* Good boyfriend. hah! i keed. |

It's not about being a bad gf to have around. I like that we have our own separate lives because we have more to talk about. Plus, it gives you a chance to miss that person.
I dunno, I just HAVE to have my own time and my own life. I like all his friends, I like hanging out with everyone, but a lot of the time I tell him to go do stuff on his own, so he doesn't feel smothered. I never want to be that gf that's ALWAYS around.
In fact, if we're around each other a little too much, I'll straight tell him to go hang out with his buddies so we can breathe.
It's nice because you have your own separate lives, and then you have your time together... and it's much nicer when it's not together ALL THE TIME, because then you can appreciate the time you do spend together.
It's worked out nicely... neither person is feeling suffocated, and because we trust each other and let the other do what they want, we have yet to fight.
It's fabulous. :) |

i feel u sara. but i moved up here and don't have any "friends" and i guess i'm lucky cuz he's never been the extrovert type. i'm sure if i was in miami i'd need my space and friend time, but it's not so bad. We've got opposite work schedules and aren't always together.
I guess it's like we're married without even being married. Not that it's a bad thing. But we pretty much have each other and only each other.
Everyone is going to go there separate ways sometime or another. (At least I've gone a completely different direction from most of my girlfriends.) That's how I see things. My friends will always be there and be ready for me when I go home to party & visit.. but eventually everyone will need to start a new life with a special someone. I actually hope it happens sooner for some friends than others.
It's not being whipped unless he's 18 and just dating the girl. One day Jupiterone will be whipped too. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww <3 |
