That new rune looks like the united protoss tribes symbol

Could it be:

Day 1 - WoW frostmourne rune
Day 2 - D2 rune
Day 3 - Protoss symbol

...counting down to a new universe maybe?
Rodrico
Apparently it was leaked to some people that it is D3, and that its guaranteed that they will announce it at WWI. Not sure how reliable this source is tho, since its a diablo fansite but none the less, good news for Diablo fans if its a high probability.

Link to confirmation of Diablo 3

i played the out diablo 1, i'm just saying that the whole game was just going further and further into the ground until you got to satan.

yes there's the side stories of leoric and the butcher etc

but that's just filler.

Yeh it is pretty awesome actually. What rpgs are better? Although I haven't actually gotten around to finishing diablo 2 (gonna get LOD first) it's certainly great fun. Although I guess I kinda prefered diablo 1.

lol @ "RPG". diablo isnt an RPG. its a hack n slash levelling exercise in extreme boredom.

Rpgs/action whatever, and whats wrong with halo? The story is kind of lame after you've seen a few good ones, but there are some really fun levels in it. Find me a level as fun as assault on the control room?

SLOW. so damn slow. i grew up on twitch shooters, and the multiplayer in particular required so little skill (relatively) it was a complete joke.

virtually any level of call of duty, let alone call of duty 4. any of UT99s assault maps. most levels from the quake universe. far cry. ummmmmmmm. thats all ive got off the top of my head.

halo wasn't a bad game per se, but it just wasn't as good as sales and reviews might suggest. it didnt stack up to any (good) shooter i'd played previously.

oh, but i was impressed with the AI.

Diablo, an incredibly powerful demon, is the Lord of Terror and one of the Three Prime Evils of Hell, who had been imprisoned in a Soulstone and buried in caverns deep beneath the town of Tristram. Though his imprisonment was meant to be eternal, the power of the Soulstone weakened over centuries, eventually allowing Diablo to awaken from his forced slumber. He telepathically turns a nearby human, the Archbishop Lazarus, into his loyal puppet. In order for Diablo to actually leave the Soulstone, Diablo needs the stone to be shattered. He possesses Lazarus, and has him break the stone. Diablo then tries to gain control of King Leoric, the local ruler, but Diablo, in his weakened state, is unable to overpower Leoric. Since Diablo is too weak to possess the king, he abandons the idea. This leaves the monarch's mind numb and his soul corrupted. He then gets Lazarus to kidnap King Leoric's son, Prince Albrecht, so that Diablo can possess and warp him, thereby attaining material form and strength. At the moment of the boy's possession, his terror is so great that the boundaries between the realms are broken and parts of Hell seep into the mortal world and take root in the subterranean labyrinth beneath Tristram. Diablo may have a body now, but he is far from his full power, so he bides his time and summons countless hordes of demons and infests the whole underground complex, claiming the new region of Hell as his own personal lair.

Soon afterwards the maddened Leoric is slain by his own lieutenants. Demons appear in the countryside as the Lord of Terror regains his strength in the heart of the labyrinth and prepares for the time when he would once again emerge to seek his brothers - Baal and Mephisto - and free them as well. It seemed to be a matter of time until the Prime Evils gained dominion over the entire mortal realm.

At the end of the game, the player character has again trapped Diablo in a soulstone. The hero then pierces his or her head with the soulstone, attempting to contain the Lord of Terror. However, the end of the game hints at a darker outcome. The final scene depicts the hero, swathed in a shadowy, hooded cloak. Diablo II later confirms that Diablo was indeed too strong, and possessed the hero who slew him.

Diablo II goes on to explain more of the storyline elements from the first game (ex. Deckard Cain).

The proper terminology is something along the lines of ADVENTURE TITLE WITH RPG ELEMENTS.

Ok, so maybe good old diablo was just put in there not to feel left out, so all three blizzard franchises would be represented - but is it coincidential that the splash also features Arthas (specific to WotLK), Kerrigan (specific to SC2), and now diablo in between them?

Look closely as the fire coming out of his hand...

...

Looks a little like a 3 doesn't it?

Halo is the Tiesto or Paul van Dyk of first person shooters - it panders to the lowest common denominator so it can be accessible to all, but there is very, very little below the surface.

It's a shallow game with no story, no depth, horrible FPS mechanics, bland environments, boring weapons, sub-par graphics, absolutely wretched animations... the list could go on forever. The game is an absolute pile of , and the only reason it does so well is because meatheads and idiots who like bands like Godsmack and epitomize "herd mentality" can "get it" (due to it's accessibility) and instantly think it's gods gift to gaming because they simply have no comparative standards what-so-ever.

Halo is the ugly fat girl that your idiot roommate nailed, yet still thinks is worthy of bragging about.

And you know what level is more fun than "assault on the control room"?

Every single level in Goldeneye for Nintendo 64.
