not true. i was skeptical about it and didnt expect much out of the game but i didnt have the money to buy something else. this was years after it even got released on pc around the time halo 2 was out i think. even the hype seemed as bland as the gameplay, they tried to build up this simplistic game into something so epic and imaginative and i just saw right through it. it was cold, soulless and unrewarding to play as it was to view commercials for and hear people talk about.
max payne i had high expectations. they were met.
half-life, same thing.
which explains why i played the sequels to both of those and couldnt care less about the halo sequels.
i know its hard for a fanboy to believe, just like when i asked my friend giving me the game "is it any good?" and he had this look like id just slapped him in the face. |

Oh dear god. You're talking as if the game has a soul. Sorry bro but you're trying way too hard to displease Halo fans. That's a nice story you're trying to weave but you've already messed up. Flip through your past few posts and you'll see what I mean. I honestly don't believe that you've got an unbiased opinion.

Hardly a fanboy. I enjoyed playing the games on Legendary and reading the books. Total logged time is months less than my total Megaman gameplay (my true fandom). And you ed up AGAIN, bro. Read this statement carefully. You're so full of it, bro. Haha. :p |

I know, I know, perhaps that was a tall statement I made.
Counter-Strike has entertained me for years. Every Unreal Tournament ever made has been brutal fun. Q3A was great as well. The Medal of Honor games, hell even old-schoolers like Doom 2 and Duke Nukem 3D. Yet nothing came to be as fun as a room full of drunk and high crazy bastards playing 16 player Halo on the original Xbox. |

Half Life 2, Bioshock, all the Unreal Tournament games, and Deus X.
All better than Halo by leaps and bounds, and it took me half a second to make this post.
And BTG, the reason there's Halo discussion in here is because beyond all the speculation everyone has done here that is basically identical to the babble occurring on other forums, no one really has anything to say about this right now.

special at futureshop the other week where you get Halo3 and Gears of War free. so i bought an xbox! also picked up bioshock to see what the hype is about.
ps3 maybe in a couple years when the system drops down to $200 |

I'll agree that half life 2 is much better. Haven't played a lot of the other games mentioned though. Compared to... some ty fpses like mace griffin, call of duty 2/infinite number of other ones halo is certainly 8/10 quality though. It's not in the same leage as very good games but its a hell of a lot better than the other out there.
Anyway "just because everyone else played it you did" does not equal accessibility. |
