yes. and NO.
for a while it was ok, colourful etc. but it really was too easy, and the physics were really uninteresting. i dunno. its hard to explain. |

Today's rune looks like a viking symbol (lost vikings perhaps?), which suggests to me that they're representing every blizzard franchise so far. The other rune have also gotten clearer which pretty much confirms the following;
1 - frostmourne from warcraft
2 - hel from diablo
3 - protoss tribes insignia from starcraft
4 - ????
5 - viking compass
The eyes now really look like a protoss, but it could be something else. |

This picture was gradually revealed this week along with the splash (a different piece of the picture was leaked every day)
I didn't mention it before because I didn't think it was related directly to the new project announcement, but now that the whole picture has been released, it sheds some new light.
That looks like a bird - possibly a california condor. (blizzard is based in cali)
Blizzard North was the name of the subdivision of Blizzard Entertainement responsible for Diablo and Diablo II. Before being purchased by Blizzard in the mid 90s, Blizzard North operated as an independant develloper under the name of Condor. |

dont get too excited. the wow servers are all going down today/early tomorrow so its probably all for an in game event. |
