Why are there sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many DJ groupies in this city? It's getting too much now.
There's one thing if you are an actual fan of a DJ and their productions and are a groupie, but if you are a groupie just because the person is a DJ and you are clueless as to what they play/produce, that's another thing.
I was in Montreal this weekend, and someone said (about Toronto)..."how come everyone in Toronto is a DJ groupie?" At first I stuck up for the city, and then after thinking about it for a while, I realized this was true.
Look at any big party where the DJ booth is accessible and you will see tons and tons of people in the booth, either wanting to be seen, bothering the DJ, or trying to look cool. I am not saying it doesn't happen in other cities, but in Toronto it is overboard.
I mean they are just DJs... |

I guess you could say I'm in that first category in terms of Ferry Corsten. But it's the second category of people that kept me from hanging out near the DJ booth when he was at Guv this past February, even though I had access to VIP. There were all kinds of annoying groupies who just wnated to be seen with "a DJ", so I said screw it, I'd rather spend time dancing with my friends and just go say hello after his set. |

I think Circa has it baaaaaaaaad in that booth
the amount of people cramping behind the Dj is beyond ridiculous - I remember at Axwell, he would literally trip over booth bitches |
