$1200 isn't that bad, or bad at all. If you have a good job $1200 is easily doable.

More like Jake doesn't suck the poonana at all.

Im 28 and I dont ever want to share space with friends again. Its great for the most part but being able to come home and not worry about if there is company over. I can put my feet up and watch what I want.

These were the downsides to sharing space for me. They seem petty but over time I got sick of it.

Shower - He took showers for over an hour ( not including the 45min beforehand) If I didnt wake up early enough I was ed for getting ready for work.

Food - He could eat like he had a tapeworm. Id come home after a 12 hour day and he was eating my dinner.

Friends - You cant get along with everyone elses friends. I didnt really care for his girlfriend. I wasnt mean, just minded my own business. Id come home and they were making out on my couch. I didnt want to be in the same room so Id end up spending way too much time in my own bedroom because I was the last one home.

At first these things werent a big deal. It was just after dealing with it for a long time it became annoying.

I'd pay $440 per month for privacy, my own space at my terms, and no bathroom sharing. Whoever mentioned the thing about roomates' friends and ... dead on. I went through the same thing a couple years ago. Even with one roomate, the little petty things start to crop up. Don't move out dude!

Move out & buy a condo. Then you wont be pissing money away just to live.

This has nothing to do with whether I'm old enough to make my own decision. I'm 50/50 split on this. Just because I'm "old enough" doesn't automatically make it easier to decide what to do in life. And who said anything about spending money in Germany? YOU'RE gonna spend money on me hahahhahaha.

I think what it boils down to is I like my privacy better but I don't think I can afford this place anymore. And staying here giving myself the illusion that I've "made it" is only going to drain my savings account until I have no money left and I'm ed. I figure if I move out and save the money, either (a) if I don't make more money than at least I'm renting cheaper, or (b) if I make more money then at least I can move back into a 1bdroom apt.

p.s. lol @ banging girls

if they are cool friends you've known, then it shouldn't be an issue. however, living with someone you thought is a friend is way totally different than just hanging out w/ them on a friday night. you see them in full force.

i've had two bad experiences with living with people i thought were cool....one turned out to be more introverted than i originaly thought; so much so that he only stayed in his room and never was social....like at all. i mean, AT ALL. the other guy kind of turned out to be a douche and left halfway through the school year (which ended up being great because my friend Dawn and i had the whole duplex to ourselves then).

but if its saving you THAT much money, it might be worth it. do you have to sign a lease? like a full year commitment? or is it a monthly thing where if things don't work out, you can just up and leave?

edit,

i'm 25 and been living on my own since i was 23. i had a ty roommate here, but that was my own mistake of not booting his ass out to the curb earlier.

live and learn, i guess
