oh my, 2 people = bigger gift.
I think we had a couple of family with no manners (from her side :p) that gave like 100$ for three people, but that was it, the rest averaged at over 100$ a head. |

You can't really hope that your gift value is going to make the wedding financially worth it. Besides, why spend the money on a massive wedding in hopes to get gifts when I could go and use the money to buy what I like to begin with, and not end up with 4 toasters?
His 20K wedding cost him 20K, and he got maybe 10K worth of out of it... a big portion of it I am willing to bet he doesn't use, or like. |
Why is the worth of the gifts even a consideration?
Gifts are just something extra. (and I wouldn't care what the gifts are worth, as long as it's thoughtful and considerate) |

| I'm one of those people who are very generous when it comes to wedding gifts/money but I think it's funny if you expect the people attending to give you enough money to pay your wedding off. "We're getting married so now YOU fork over the money" Like.. excuse you? |
