Wait, what? When I was watching girls' gymnastics last week, it seemed quite the opposite - the fagbag was hating on the Americans and was praising the Chinese slootskies the entire time.

I dont think the announcers are racist. I think they know that Americans can't watch the Olympics without some kind of controversy or unfairness. Theyre just trying to rile things up to get viewers. At first I thought they might have a point that the Chinese gymnasts were getting higher points. Now Im just sick of hearing about it. Wish they would give it up. They were doing it with mens 3m springboard tonight, too. "Oh, I dont agree with those scores at all."

Last week was semi finals and they did horrible. I remember on floor excercise every single woman was stepping outside of the lines.
Who cares - Is it that bad to have a little favoritism towards your country?
I know I'm gonna side on my kids team if they play sports, even if they do bad. Wtf |

They wouldn't even show the opening ceremonies live and you say it's excellent?!? It's a ing travesty that they wouldn't show the ceremonies live and forced us to see the tape delay. Over the years, I got so fed up with dealing with tape delayed events and too many ing interest stories that it nearly killed my interest in the Olympics. For these olympics, I just watched the TV coverage to see Phelps and that's it. A
lso, having the swimming and gymnastics events live for 2 times zones and having them tape delayed on the west coast? That's just a travesty right there.
The NBC Olympic website is also a joke. It's confusing to navigate. Also, if you want to find a video clip you want to see? HAH! You'll have better luck good luck trying to find a video clip that you want to see.
Unfortunately, NBC has gotten great ratings and they sure as hell won't change their ass backwards way. Hell, with the way NBC is going, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if the swimming finals in London would be near midnight local time there just to get the events on prime time for the viewers on the US Eastern Time zone.
Having said that....
I seriously never though I'd live to see the day when I compliment NBC with anything regard to the olympics, but here it goes:
The only thing NBC has done well this year is their live streaming of the events. Silverlight has been extremely reliable and the quality is great. I like their minimal approach and having no audio commentators even though it can be confusing for some events like air pistol and sailing. |

The point is they are meant to be non-biased, regardless of who is listening to them.
