That's ridiculous.
That's like saying you'd prefer to look up the ending of a movie on the internet rather than see it; the enjoyment is all in the process of watching it, not seeing the end.
I can understand the "shield yourself from results" comment, but:
a) If you only want to know the results (not watch the event) and are willing to look them up on your phone, why would you care about seeing the results accidentally from somewhere else?
b) A delayed broadcast is usually only an hour or so behind and the network will not broadcast news of the event results until they have screened it themselves, so your chances of being exposed to results are minimal. |

I HATE watching the olympics in the US, especially because of all the personal "my uncle had athletes foot and now after years of struggle I've come here to prove that i can win" stories
somehow Russia didn't focus on Russia and showed whatever was happening, while the most international country in the world, ing US, shows only US. MERICANS, YEAH |

| at a minimum NBC should have shown the opening ceremonies live on their web site for the people who wanted to see it live. The vast majority would still have watched it in primetime on TV anyway |

the only people that got the opening ceremonies live were the people there. It was all tape delay with every provider so the chinese could doctor the show to make it as perfect as possible. |

yeah, can't they do some kind of testing on them to get their real age? Most of their team did not look like they were 16 yet for sure |
