| What certo? Everyone uses it because it works and is cheap and you don't have to stick anything in your pants which is important because at the probation office they have a guy who looks while everyone gives their sample. |

I tend to think the answer is "yes," but I also think that the benefits of legalization would outweigh the increased number of addicts. |
The best solution is decriminalization for the demand side of the black market. Cannibis should be legalized for both buyers and sellers. But hard drugs like methamphetamine, cocaine, heroine, etc. should still be illegal to make, transport, or sell. But again, users should not be arrested for possession or use. |

And that has to do with what, exactly?
I didn't see anyone making that claim, but maybe I just missed it. |

Additionally, because they are illegal drugs sell for many times what their actual value is. For many people the biggest problem with drug abuse/addiction is that once they have exhausted their means to purchase drugs with their regular income they turn to things like theft and other criminal behavior to fund their habit. Say you have a coke habit of four 8 balls a week. That habit is much more expensive at $200 a ball from a dealer than it would be if you were paying $40 a ball at a state drug store. That makes the addictions, for those that have them, much less damaging |

He just said it makes them less damaging, which is a relatively well established fact. For many "addicts", if they have the money and the means to regularly purchase their drug of choice, their addiction is substantially less damaging - or perhaps better phrased, they're capable of managing their addictions.
This goes back to the example of doctors addicted to opiates whom no one ever knows have problems because they can manage and afford their addictions. |
