seems to me that would be a lot worse than just asking first. it's like saying, 'I thought it would be better than this. I need sauce,' instead of 'this looks good, but I always like sauce.'

edit: haha I clicked reply from the first page.

Quit jockin' my style, maaaaayyyyne!

I like to consider myself fairly skilled as well, yet no matter what type of steak I prepare / how well it's prepared she will eat it with steak sauce.

i am guilty of this as well. it's not that the steak is lacking in flavor or that it needs anything... it's just that steak sauce is so damn tasty and the only excuse i ever have to eat it is when i'm eating steak.

however, i will forgo the steak sauce if the meat is topped with some sort of blue cheese concoction.

well, yeah but that's meat and everyone eats theirs according to what they prefer (bbq, hot sauce, picante, etc).

with peppers rofl! i don't ing know, perhaps you're being a little too over dramatic slylee. but that's ok, it's a chic thing and i understand. in fact, it's kind of attractive to see a girl worry about such things, nowadays they don't even want to cook for you. what has this world come to...

i grew up in a house full of women haha (insert joke), no srsly, i understand women. i love women, my niece was actually just like slylee with her bf's (pathetic) :stongue:

I couldn't be arsed to read 5 pages....but...Jamie, here is a story for you.

My grandfather used to salt EVERYTHING before tasting it. So one day my grandmother decided to presalt his honeydew. He sat down, poured his salt on it and proceeded to attempt to eat it. When he took that first bite he was disgusted. From then on he always tasted his food before salting it.

Maybe you should try a similar thing. I don't think what he did was rude per se, but I think it is ing stupid because you NEVER know how something is going to taste if you slather it full of before you try it.
