I totally agree. Even 1hr is too much for me if it's full of proggy, fluffy tracks. I know who some of the guest artists are but even they don't get me excited enough. Then again, I'm going to this event for other reasons. And they have the other rooms with different kind of music I can go check out. One friend in our party group won't be into the music either so we already decided that if we get really bored we'll just get really drunk and find shenanigans to get into :tongue2
A hotel room within walking distance is a good idea. We live in LA and we still booked a room because we don't wanna deal with the driving and parking nightmare.

Have you looked into a room at the Radission on Figueroa? It's not a great hotel but it works well and the location is perfect. It's a quick walk to the Sports Arena. That way you wouldn't have to worry about finding taxis on NYE in LA. Here's a link if this may be helpful:
