nah. Unless you regularly hit up the same spot and/or know the promoters.. You're definitely going to run into bitchyness or the exact opposite "door ppl" in miami.

had a friend go to the door at the club and the door girl told him it was a $20 cover. He told her that he was on the guest list and proceeded to argue with her. Finally he said to the doorgirl that he the best man at the DJ's wedding which was a 2 months prior to that. The girl had the bouncer rely the message to the DJ and before you knew it, the DJ left the decks and went to the front door in the middle of his set. Eventhough the guy wasn't even at the wedding the DJ told the door girl to let him in. |

| I usually just tell the door person that I'm playing in one of the small rooms. I drop the name of the promoter and say he/she is expecting me and I go right in :p |

omg let me tell you...
this one time lol this bouncer/doorperson was being a serious douchebag to me and got in my face like i wuz a nobody then i called the promoter/dj/other important person to come get me and when they did oh boy you should have seen the look on that bouncer/doorperson's face and then they let me in the club and i felt really important.
it wuz like the best night of my lyfe |
