PC games are the best IMO.. I am not a big gamer at all..
whenever Starcraft 2 comes out ,, i will get that for sure!
why buy a console when they are just going to come out with something better? |
because a good desktop cost more than a console? |

That's the same logic for anything.
Why buy a computer when it'll be cheaper in 3-6 months and a newer version that is better will come out. [Yes, you can upgrade, but that will cost you]
Why buy a TV when the one you buy will be cheaper in a couple weeks, and you will be able to afford the superior model.
Why buy a car? It'll break down in 5-6 years and you'll have to get a new one.
Ps. Why play games on your Computer? you'll be forced to buy a newer video card in a few years as the graphics will require it, that additional cost doesn't seem worth it to me.

if you need a bluray player then get the ps3.
otherwise, xbox360 is the only way to go. |

Xbox.
Great titles, netflix, 120 GB of storage, Xbox Experience for online.
(forget anybody who tries to sell you on the bluray. everything is moving to digi-download, bluray will be the shortest lived media format ever). |
On top of all that: better game selection and the graphics are up to par too. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is a fool. |

as for this statement.. PC games have ALWAYS been far better in quality and performance.. YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS!!! omg i thought u knew a thing or two. It is not a question of cost or upgrading.. it is simply better because of teh quality and performance. Besides consoles are pretty much personal PC's but the only difference is you cannot upgrade them.. |

...what do you mean by far better performance and quality? Yes the quality can be better if you the appropriate specs, but I wouldn't say that performance necessarily is better.
Also, I realize the graphics might be a bit better, but since when do you only play a game based on graphic quality?
If you do, i'm sorry for you. Once you realize that graphics isn't the most important thing out there, then maybe you'll understand why consoles are a big hit.
just take a look at the Wii. The graphics are absolutely horrible and the performance is nothing special. But its all about the experience you get from the game.
Plus majority of the games I play aren't on the PC anyway. It makes no sense for me to spend $1,000 on a desktop to play games that don't really interest me.

The PS3 online media buying process is ridiculous. You buy the movie, get it download it ONCE. If you delete, or hard drive crashes, you get to call Sony to be able to download it one more time. If you need to download yet again, for any reason, you have PAY for it again. IMO if you paid for the movie once, you should be able to download it (to the same account) as many times as you want. If they want limit your ability to copy it off the machine, fine by me.
The Xbox has awesome FPS, and simulation (sports) games. But, most of the big titles are on both system as it is, so no real difference.
The nice thing about the PS3 is that you can upgrade the hard drive yourself, if you want more space, and they have instructions on how to do it. I hate that MS charges such a premium on their HDD. |
