Zelda, Mario and Metroid are amazing titles, but they are the ONLY good titles for the Wii. I wouldn't even consider it and it appears that Yohan isn't considering it either.
Definitely go with the Xbox 360. Simply by virtue of the fact that developers can release games almost simultaneously for PC and Console, it has and will continue to have the widest variety of good games.
Also, the PS3 is still absurdly priced. Xbox 360 (the "standard" one) has come down to a reasonable level. |

I have a PS3 and a whole pile of games
Resident Evil 4
Devil May Cry 4
Heaveanly Sword
Lego Batman
Little Big Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4
Grand Theft Auto 4
Soul Caliber 4
Call of Duty 4
I think the graphics when i saw a comparsion are the same between PS3 and XBox 360 but Blu Ray disc Games are very expensive to buy i find.
I would like to play gears of war 2 and other Xbox titles which i cant, but i am thinking of picking up the arcade Xbox just for the purpose i can download games and play for free on the Xbox as opposed to PS3.
Also PS3 has free online game play and what i found not too many cables to connect vs the XBOX you have a lot of wires and have to pay to play on xbox live. |

Kinda want a PS3 because of the formula 1 games... but realistically it'll be wii or 360 |

I thought I had my mind set on a PS3, but Xbox seems to come out with more amusing games.
I'm not a big online gamer, and I mostly play strategy, some RPG, occassional FPS and sports |
Since your not much of an online gamer, I would say its really just a preference of video games, both have great titles, but Xbox does have more selection in regards to RPG/Strategy, Sports and FPS. Since most shared titles are ported from the Xbox to PS3, I find xbox games to be more finalized as products then their PS3 counterparts. But PS3 exclusives are really dazzling. Theres a new strategy RPG out for PS3 called Valkyria chronicles that looks pretty good, but I havent seen much more than that til next year when alot more release are coming out in this department.
I think xbox pro bundle with Gears of War 2 online at best buy is your best bet, or i think dell computers has the same deal. 299.99 for pro bundle with lego indiana jones and kung pu panda and gears of wars 2 is a great deal. |

You probably already know this, but I'll say it anyway: If you're about to drop a lot of money on a nice TV and plan to do any significant gaming on it, keep in mind that the Wii does not support HD modes. The difference in quality between the Wii and 360/PS3 is especially noticeable on a big HDTV. |

360 ftw... though sony has some exclusives like mgs4, xbox exclusives like gears2 outweigh them by far imo. xbox live service is definitely worth the $/month too, very easy to fire up a game with friends or communicate even if you're playing different games.
xbox arcade has some pretty sweet games too (though they cost a few bucks) that have an old school feel yet are in HD graphics, like castle crashers. street fighter II HD remix will be out for download soon, can't wait to get that. they've also recently allowed development for user created games, can see this being huge within a few months. |

The PS3 doesn't have any AAA titles yet, it's more expensive, and RPGs these days suck no matter what system you get them for. (360 has Fable 2, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, all solid titles but nothing that hasn't already been done 20 times on the SNES and PS1, which is your golden age for RPGs)
Any genre of game you can name on the PS3, the 360 has it's own version done better, with a better controller to boot. For a better price. But it's mostly Action, FPS and Sports-oriented games.
If you like RTS, you don't want a console. If you like RPG and Sim-City style gaming... You should give the DS a serious look. Contact is an amazing game, there's some really good RPG remakes like FF3, FF4 and Dragon Quest 4, along with the whole back-library of GBA, you have Advance Wars (tactical, turn based) and Fire Emblem and the like. You have Sim City, Theme Park, a few other sim-style games. And it's the cheapest out of anything else out there.
But if it's between PS3 and the 360, the 360 is the better value and you're likely to find more titles that you enjoy. |
