Have you heard of lucid dreaming...? (pg. 2)

I had dreams last night and woke up to log them as soon as I could. Than I stayed up for an hour than went back to bed than dreamed again. I am trying to fully be able to have lucidity in my dreams.

I want to be fully conscious while in my dreams. If you really think about it sometimes dreams are a blur mostly but if your fully conscious like you are awake but in a dream that is plain crazy interesting.

I am doing my first step in dream recalling and have logged about 5 days worth of dreaming and I am dreaming everyday whether it is having 1 or 2.

I wasn't aware that I was dreaming though. I want to be fully aware that I am dreaming and wander my dream world. You get to learn alot from your sub conscious if your fully aware.

i have lucid dreams on occasion.
although, as soon as i recognize i'm in a dream, i start to wake up.

i've tried the spinning trick where you spin your body in the dream, which is supposed to keep you from waking up.
it did, but only for a few seconds longer.

i think one of the main reasons i don't recognize that i'm dreaming is that most of my dreams are extremely realistic. that is, i don't feel like anything is out of the ordinary and nothing usually is, save for the ability to fly or jump really high or interesting emotions that are hard to explain.

recently i've been having something similar to lucid dreams combined with sleep paralysis.
i'll be dreaming, then dream that i wake up in my room in bed. nothing is out of the ordinary except that if i move any part of my body, i feel it make the motion but visually, it looks like it's moving in slow motion, following the path i moved it, even though i felt it make the full range of motion and stop already.

then after about a minute of this, i'll put my head back down on the pillow in the dream, close my eyes, and wake up for real.

I have them often, usually if I'm trying to catch a nap in the early evening before going to work. It's quite fun once you realize you can defy gravity.

Although... I've had to be careful. Sometimes I've lost control and begin falling up at an incredible speed, such that I'm hurling through the Cosmos. Sure, it's an incredible ride, but there's been times I've panicked over whether I'll ever be able to find my way back. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!!???

(for some fun while in a lucid state, try freefalling backwards!)

This is my approach as well. Don't force it.

I have worried in my dreams about using my ability to fly or walk on water in front of others, like it's some secret mutant power I don't want disclosed. I just let things happen and alter as little as possible.

That is crazy but it looks like your on the right path to lucid dreaming. You should try the WILD technique as it has helped me alot.

I have considered a paper on lucid dreaming in college once...

What I did find out helped with my lucid dreaming, was Melatonin. Melatonin always made my dreams very real-like.

The easiest way to lucid dream is right after you wake up. Don't let yourself fully awaken, but put yourself back to sleep with the knowledge that you are going to be in control of your dreams.
