yes, i know all about phantom limbs (nurse mum, almost doctor sister).
that's completely different to actually being convinced that your consciousness can leave your body and travel around on holiday. i have no doubt that people think this is happening, but they have absolutely zero evidence with which to support their claims. | One of my favorite ted talks was about a phantom limb. |

why lol? let me guess, you have some rather irrelevant esoteric nonsense to impart, which whilst very interesting doesn't actually provide any answers, because you're one of those people that doesn't even really believe in answers? :p
the evidence and scientific rationalisation for phantom limbs is quite extensive. the most important part being of course that no doctor actually believes that a patient has a phantom limb, it is merely the confusion of damaged nerves.
now, you could argue that astral projection is merely the manifestation of a damaged brain, and i could buy that. but dont try and tell me that its really possible in your 'yo man, you're limiting yourself with the ignorance of current scientific knowledge. hey, did anyone see where i left my hash pipe?' |

haha. i think the observable 'truths' of existence are anything but, and i see no need to subscribe to unproven ideas to make life more interesting :) |
Word. But like DJ Shibby said, experiment and have fun! There is so much more to life than what meets the perceivable eye.
I'm just letting you know what's available. ;) |

but experiment how? give me a context. asides from enrolling in classes of subatomic theory, how would you suggest i conduct experiments to gain understanding of everything that i cannot perceive with my naked eye? |

| To put it bluntly, let go of what you think you know and question life itself. |

yeah, that's the response i was expecting. nothing tangible, just some loosely-quantified nonsense about opening your mind far enough for your brain to fall out. gotcha. |
